She reveals her grace when I pull away from the computer screen and breathe. Folding through my clasped hands, she whispers heaven into me. Bathed in bluest light, the blessed virgin reaches out extending her hands: a ghostlike mist raining soft mint leaves and her breast heaves with the woody life of dead and fallen trees. Floating in this starlit bog, rotting in the city stench, I look skyward. I am earthbound but I call to her, Ave Maria, the blessed love. Her fertile female force, it opens a shaftway, a shimmering causeway. I welcome her clarity and it floods me, like a waterfall flushing my soiled, modern filth out to the sea. I return to the old ways a little - and pass out. And like the rainbow colours of an oil stream in the water, nature's your mother, space for your children and time is your father. At the apex of this bliss, the world spins and lifts away.

Wake up. It's time to get dressed. Inside of me I've got a four-legged animal that wants to be free. And if I peeled off my limbs and sat limp in your lap, would you applaud me? I can't distinguish between wanting it and throwing it out. I guess our innards are between us once again. So, pick up your underwear, it's time to get dressed. We're going horseback riding in the midnight sun. Can you guess what I'll suggest when we'll get deep in the forest? Let's get undressed and start all over again. Inside of me I’ve got a costume party that wants to get started. And if I squeezed out my eyes and fell blind in your thighs, would you mind? I can't distinguish between real life and a real good idea. I guess our gizzards are between us once again. Inside of me I've got a whirling dervish that wants to be spinning out of control. And if I anchored my trust to your serpentine lust, would you be coiled? I can't distinguish between contact lenses and electrical fences. I guess our barriers are more effective than we thought. Maybe they’re not. Every evening, again.

My neighbours will kill me - I'll hear their knocks on my wall. His name is Jim and her name is Shelley. Landlord decided that he was gonna throw them out. They yelled at him and she started to shout.

A sunny day, we walked for hours. We sat in stonewalled relics on lonely hills with dry, wild vineyards. And in the air, the scent of wine and bottled time - I breathed it in. One bright morning, I awoke with a yearning. The atlas by the bed was shredded and burning. With a chorus resounding, my senses were pounding. I guess I must have been hibernating. My flesh became grounded; my soul was astounded; the atlas by the bed had evaporated. My lungs grew deeper; I drank litres of water; you appreciate life when you unplug the computer. With one last string on a battered guitar, I went strumming and singing to the top of the hill. I travelled into the wind. I saw the sunset from beginning to end. France - there, I found a lifeline in the wink of an eye: dancing through the fields of France with you. Driving on the Autoroute, better wear a parachute! Crash helmet - bulletproof! It's a tour de vitesse with style and finesse. Move over, Baby - you're underdressed. A storm was brewing; my spirit ungluing. My head fell over, losing everything in France. I lost my footing then, tripped over old Napoleon. I tumbled forward into everything in France. With the scent of wine and bottled time, my chest fell open breathing all the air in France. And then the angels came, caressing everything. My heart fell open, bleeding all the blood in France. I checked my wristwatch, ran out to check the towerclock. Time stool still, freezing everything in France. I shake the air with a weather vane. Swinging around, I summon the fields of France. I still dance with you.

Skyscraper and sandpaper, I push you down the slide. How will I ever survive without your thorn in my side?

Gone away and left. Latch is loose - something happened. The public has no knowledge. The money truck down the highway. Fly feather fly cash. Latch is loose - something happened. Brinks go jinx in a flash. The money truck down the highway. Twin prop - no stop - red gloves operation. Roll off the landmark, swing down the treeline. This life is an option. The public has no knowledge.

about

Tape Life presents the seventh Karl Mohr Audio-Yo album, The Heck 2017 Edition. This twentieth anniversary re-release has been meticulously remastered and features updates to the original 1997 track list. Featuring material recorded 1993-1997, the critically acclaimed The Heck was a future-forward album of Mohr's best work; the 2017 Edition sounds fresh and relevant two decades later. Claiming "100% Electronic Thrills," the album is mostly instrumental, with Mohr's vocal work sparse against the mad sample collages and towering techno architecture. Equally influenced by rave culture and industrial music, this eccentric and daring milestone reissue is recommended for fans of dancefloor-oriented electronic music.
